“My wife and I were just married last year. I am self-employed, and about 2 months after getting married, we found out that my wife was pregnant. At about that same time, we found out that she had been denied by my health plan.

At the time I was using an accountant in Salt Lake City that had many years of experience and was kind of cranky, but the year before I had received a refund when I thought I would have to pay a lot. So I was content.

I learned that my only option for help with my wife and the upcoming baby was Medicaid. We began the process, and we were initially denied.
